Entering our Fourth Season: Weeks 1 and 2

The 2015 Gardening 4 Good season kicked off at Troy Gardens on Thursday May 28! Following it up, we had our 2nd gathering last Thursday June 4. From here on out, we will meet every Thursday 6:00-7:30pm at the Gardening 4 Good plots (under the blue-bottled tree!) at Troy through August 13 (with the exception of July 2–off for Fourth of July weekend).

My name is Caleb, and I am excited to be getting involved with G4G this year, and to help in carrying out the wonderful traditions of this exciting project! As most of you probably know, Rebecca, who started this all up, moved with her husband to Colorado last fall. She is clearly and dearly missed by everybody. Recently joining this G4G team, I am encouraged to see the joyous spirit that all of the returning gardeners carry with them, that Rebecca helped to instill.

We have another exciting workshop lineup this season, with many wonderful speakers and leaders from the community coming to share their time and perspectives with us.  I will get this schedule posted to the blog as soon as I can. And now for some pictures from our first two weeks! More pics to come…
