Beth Swanson is an event organizer with her own company, EM Swanson Events. For the last three years
Beth has planned and organized the Good Food Garden Party, Community GroundWorks’ biggest fundraiser of the year—an elegant dinner party on the land at Troy Gardens.
Every year the tables for the Good Food Garden Party are set with white linen tablecloths and napkins, and graced with beautiful flower bouquets in tall green bottles. This year, Marge Pitts told Beth about Rebecca and Gardening 4 Good, and how talented they are at arranging flowers. So Beth met Rebecca and asked if G4G could arrange the flowers for the event, and Rebecca was totally into it.
“We had an incredible time!” Beth recalls. “I approached G4G because I thought they would be a good fit for the Good Food Garden Party—local, connected with Community GroundWorks, and also a non-profit and an organization that does good. I would DEFINITELY use them for future events!
“The G4G folks were amazing,” Beth continues, “the flowers were gorgeous and really took the beauty of the event to that next level that we were looking for. In the past, we simply did not have the time to do justice to the floral—and with G4G’s help, we did!
“The flowers were exquisite,” Beth says. “I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the results.
The supported gardeners of G4G gave time and energy and talent (and I hope they had a good time) contributing to this great community event…”
The Good Food Garden Party was held June 22, 2013.
