Julie recounted this story at our mini-workshop with Marge Pitts tonight. Marge is encouraging all of us at Gardening for Good to think about our garden stories, and wants each of us know that we offer a gift when we share our stories.
“My first time here I was planting the flowers. I dug a hole, and Angie showed me how big the hole should be. I flipped the pots over that the flowers were in and caught the flowers in my hand. Then we fanned out the roots and put it down in the hole. We got the dirt and covered the roots. We evened out the dirt around the flowers. Then we watered them really good. We didn’t have any rain for a long long time. I heard that on Saturday or Sunday we are supposed to get some rain. The next week we planted another flower.”
